Neither. Get a SR20DET.

You have to make that decision yourself. You need to figure out what you are going to do with your car, then make the decision.

Maybe tell us and people can give you suggestions, but in the end it's all up to you, your budget and goals.

Any reason your only choosing those two? If your seriously wondering which would be better chances are itll be a looong time before it actually goes into your car.

please please PLEASE think before you post. The one that suits your budget and desires is the right motor, not the one we tell you.

ehhh....whaat?

the h22 transmission SUCKS *****, b16a was basically made for the crx. I personally have a b16a in my crx, fixing to be boosted in a couple weeks now, and wouldnt ever buy an h22. h22's are heavier than a b series motor, HORRIBLE transmission, installation....kiss your *** goodbye hard..just not worth the money.

thats my opinion...and a lot of friends/people on ht agree. h22's are just a pain in the ***.

if your going to spend that much...get a gsr, but my b16a gets me places pretty fast

MY OPINION - B16A - never had ANYTHING wrong, never wished i didnt buy one.

i love it.

i do agree with that, if you do go h2b, you have the best of both worlds, just trying to answer the question. i totally agree with you YeeJ6!!

but then for a crx, you have to worry about the block sitting so low, you can POSSIBLY hit. or maybe its the tranny.idk.. but worth it

i still say b16a

OEM dry sump systems make my peepee move.

The H22 isn't THAT heavy of a motor, I believe the difference is only 80 pounds or so. an extra 50 - 75 lbs of spring will more then compensate for it. As far as the tranny, I'm pretty sure quite a few companies make shorter FD's for it which work wonders, plus some of the N/A numbers i've seen out of H22s rival the K for the cost. The worst part of the H swap is the wiring, but i was never fond of a DVOM anyways.

The LS7 is 427 all aluminum cubic inches of fire breathing hell-storm. See C6 Z06 Corvette.

there isnt anything as cheap as the b16 because its the weakest b series, it has no guts below vtec, if i was to go b series id say b18cR with a 4.7fd, just save up a bit longer.

for someone with as much decision maing ability as yourself i would say d-sereis.

If you choose b, you would want us to tell you which are the best mounts, then you'll ask what the best shift linkages are... and it would go on and on.

So, like i said. Fro you, d-series is the best bet my friend.

its my god honest opinion. You cant make decisions for yourself, you've clearly shown that to us... I'm just going off what you've given me.

its not like you even asked b16 or b18.... what the hell do you want from me?

if you cant even figure out the search, then you'll NEVER figure out how to shoehorn an h22 into your crx, and then you'd clutter the boards with unsearched posts on how to do the wiring....

I was being nice, i didnt swear or anything...

get a bisi cam for your d16, then get a nice header and exhaust. you'd be suprised how big the grin on your face would be

now dont call me an ***, i was trying to help you. you're too dumb to do it yourself and a shop would take your wallet out for a walk in the park then take it for a movie. Then when things were going good it would drop a lil daterape and your wallet would be FUCKED
