different types of gas at once
i usually use 89 premium gas without knowing that it's not beneficial to my engine, and now I want to switch to 87, but do i have to run my car totally empty before i switch over, or does it not matter?

A lot of places call 87 regular, 89 premium, and 91 super. It could just be me but I swear the car ran better when using 93.

its honestly all about location, i guess some mountian places cary 85 87 89 <-- wtf !@?!?!?!? or so i've heard from fellow peeps or it was 85 87 91 the whole 85 octane freaked me out.
word of advice it is wise to switch gas stations for awhile ie, shell / bp / amaco / marathon / clark or w/e you have. since each brand has different detergents and each detergent cleans a certian "build-up"

Anybody notice some gas station's gas burns and is used more quickly than others?
Like I usually only get 87 octane at 3 places, Valero, Pilot and Hess.
Valero burns quite quickly, Pilot comes in 2nd...thats where the majority of my gas comes from and Hess lasts longest.
I tried driving the same amount for 3 weeks back to back. Same reserved, relaxed driving style all 3 weeks. Valero took me 4 days to burn a half tank, Pilot came in 2nd with 5 days, and the rare Hess stop got me a whopping 7 days on a half tank.
Hmmm...whats up with this? obviously I didnt eliminate all the variables the the equation but did the best I could and somethings up.

you can mix gas, the knock sensor in the car will help the computer compensate for it.

high altitude has less air density, 85 octane has the equivalent anti-knock properties of 87 at or about sea level.

it isn't half and half. it's an entirely different octane rating based on the R+M/2 classification system.

desil?
Diesel maybe?
Most of the time or all the gas stations if encountered the Diesel pump handle has a larger diameter then the gas tank allows to fit, thus prevent nubs from filling it with "Desil"

WoW!!!!! I cant believe some one actually asked this question? Do you even know where to put the gas???? Cant expect you to know anything about cars now, but yeah bro its not gonna hurt anything if you put 87 in now, LOL.
