Default Decisions...Decisions

Alright I did all the calculations....investigations....and searching I could but I still cannot make up my mine looks like I need the help of some of the PROS here on H-T!!

So I have a 91 RS...manual everything but still quick. It's got 175k and the tranny grinds and the engine just started ticking a little under acceleration. Just recently the turn signal switch went out(est.~$130)...the right outer tire rod has some play(est~$190)....shocks, springs bad(est~$320 tien)..I've got a P/S leak thats huge($200) and the motor not only burns all the oil between changes but leaks also...and so does the tranny through the output shaft. Now I'm real cool with the guys at my local Mobile Lube they all happen to be into cars. One of the guys gave me the # to a shop that imports engines straight from Japan with about 35k-45k on them...long story short i got an estimate on a B20 for $1495+ tax.. thats just the motor i can get a tranny for an extra $500 but it is not guaranteed with the engine b/c its from an outside source .~risky~

OR

I recenty met this asian dude thats selling his 97 GSR and is willing to sell it to me for $2700 because he got his dream car(h22 prelude)....the only flaws is that it has a theft recovery title and the thefts took the b18c along with the interior, and front bumper....now he has the full leather interior back along with the bumper but not the engine so it has an LS engine in it with a new port and polished head, timing belt, water pump, some mint fat 5's etc...

So heres the hard part...I've got $1800 bucks saved as of now should I dump all of it into my DA and have a b20 powered DA with a questionable tranny...or continue to sell my DA for $1700 or ~less~ and buy the "GS" I'm really looking for something reliable cause im bout to start back school and wont have as much money laying around...HELP Please
and thanks

ok ok so the car is *reasonably* quick it's got some aftermarket cams that are untuned and cheap that i didnt know were in there when i bought it but my mechanic said that they are pourus... so you can call that motor done.... and i've been fixing those cheap and easy fixes since i bought the car 7 months ago and im just getting tired of the little problems every week that keep popping up..and leave me stranded sometimes.

hmotorsonline.com

passwordjdm.com also has B20's

$750 is a lot, the local importer by me has B20's for $600(which saves money on the shipping from either website)
