CLUTCH PROBLEMS!!!! HELP!!!
i was driving downtown.. and i notice it was starting to get harder and harder to get into gear.. then all the sudden it popped right out of gear.. and now when i depress the clutch it wont go into gear, and if i try with the car on it makes a grinding noise..
what do yall think it is? clutch done?

sounds like spring on clutch disc is gone....(broken tab) on disc.....
hopefully you can just replace clutch/disc...and you are good to go.
What kind of car?

How old is the clutch? Chances are the whole kit is shot in general.
Typicaly when it gets hard to get into gear and it makes grinding noises when you do, its the sign that your pressure plate is just worn out, and its splines (when pressed in with T/out bearing) dont fully disengage the clutch, making it very hard, sometimes impossible to get into any gear. A good way to test for this would be to get your car on jackstands, start it, and at idle, push the clutch in and put it in first gear. If your wheels start moving, or if it makes any grind in the least bit, its time for a new clutch kit.

ok man Thanks! yeah im going to get a whole new clutch kit.. thanks for taking to the time to write that! im not very stoked about doing it by myself though.. ha.. only done one clutch for a honda.. soo this will be fun
Before going thru all that tho, try and rule out some other possibilities of the problem. This kind of issue can also be caused by a leaking or unpressurized Master/slave cylinder setup. In this case, if your master/slave cylinder system is not sealed (or just low on fluid) correctly, when you push in the clutch, your not fully disengaging the clutch from the flywheel, when in fact your clutch assembly may be in working order. Before taking things apart, check the system for any leaks, maye add some fluid and bleed it a little, and see if that makes any difference.
Ive had a simliar situation once last winter when the temperature dropped very low one night (like around 10 degrees F.). I was driving on the highway when i started realizing my clutch pedal felt weaker and slow in its action. I kept driving it not realizing what it was until i went to downshift, and push the clutch in, and the car was still in gear, with the clutch in, lol! I later found out that i was low on fluid in the master cylinder, and the fact that it was 10 degrees out caused the fluids to act different (i wont get into the details of the science behind it, but you get the idea). I added some fluid, pumped the clutch, and it was back to normal and never saw the problem again.

yeah i will def check the system first man.. doing a cluch job on a honda isnt the easiest thing to do on a honda.. when i pulled over.. i check the fluid.. it looked good.. but i didnt have the right tool to bleed it.. soo im going to def do that first thing tomorrow.. im going to check the master clinder neer the pedal incase it was something there too.. i really hope and pray it is something easy like, a slave or master clinder... thanks again!
Hey guys, I need some advice about my car. I’ve got an EK Civic with a B18C GSR 5-speed manual gearbox. Yesterday, I was driving and hit a speed bump because my car is pretty low to the ground. The bump hit my 4-2-1 extractor at the (2) part, and I heard a loud "dinggg" sound. I was pressing the clutch when this happened, and afterward, the clutch got stuck halfway. I had to use my foot to pull the pedal back, but it went back to normal.
However, now I’m noticing something weird with my second gear. When I shift from 1st to 2nd, the clutch feels off—it’s like it’s engaging much deeper than usual. Normally, my clutch is pretty short, but now it feels like a long clutch just for the second gear. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Any help diagnosing the issue would be appreciated...
