Default Rewiring shell dash harness?

so as most of you know that I have a 98 shell im been building forever...well now that the motor is complete and is in the car... the friendly theives they are cut my harness on the drivers side right before the fuse box... (thieves).....so i got another cabin harness from another 98itr....now my dash harness is from an older obd1 teg... i was told that there are all the same for that harness....

so thats somewhat my situation...

one other question is what is the differences of obdII A & B? I have used the SEARCh button...been on here 4 years..just cant find my answer im looking for...so if u guys could help a Hype R fella out.....

HERE IS SOME PIX... i"ll take some pics of the motor later today

THIS IS WHAT I'M DEALING WITH RIGHT NOW

The differences between the 97 and 98 ITR which are both OBDIIA is huge. Between OBDIIA and B I am sure it is huge.

I would get as many wiring diagrams from each of the model years you have wiring from and go from there. I wish I could be more help. Hoochin and Bradstard should have plenty of info for you too.

If you need it, I have the interior ABS harness and computer available.

Good luck with the rebuild.

BTW, Eric95LS may have an OBDII dash harness. I think they use the same connectors but would require repinning.

well if you have 98 harness then your fine, the actual harness that runs thought the dash will need to be swapped to a 96-99 obd2a

From what I have seen, 97's use bigger connectors compared to the 98's. I would stick with only 98 wiring. IMO

Ahmed,

Check with Sohfast, I'm pretty sure they still have a 98 GSR dash harness. Buy that and use that harness. It is pretty much the same thing as the ITR dash harness. Also I wouldn't go and try to make an OBD1 harness work. It won't have the data link connector for the emissions people to hook up to. Trust me, it is a huge pain in the *** to wire it up.

My harness was all cut when I got the car. I ended up splicing a GSR harness and using that with the existing ITR harness. It was pretty straight forward to solder the wires since Honda uses the same wire colors on different years.

This is what one my harnesses looked like when I got the car:

After I soldered:

Depending on how many wires you are talking about, it might be quicker to just repair it. It took me a week to fix my harnesses working about an hour each evening after work.
