Default S2000 head on a 02 SI?

I was reading the letter's in the most recent issue of honda tuner, and they said an s2000 head would fit on a K20 engine. Well, first question, is this true, has anyone attempted it yet. And if i was to do this, any idea on power gains, if any? i own a 02 civic hatch Si. thanx for any help... o and one more question, does anyone here visit ClubSi.com, and if so, are you having trouble going to the site, it doesnt seem to be there anymore? thanks again...

I thought the f20c was a derivation of the f20b in the j-spec accord sir-t?

no it is actually the k series that rotates opposite of the older honda engines so i am pretty sure it would work.

Just because they spin the same way doesn't mean everything is going to be compatible. Answers with a little more insight behind them are definitely helpful!

F20C is 87mm, K20 is 86mm, not 100% sure if that is a problem for compression though.

I have an F20C head for sale if you want to try it out.

It needs one valve, and some headwork. ~ 600 dollars in work.

PM me if you are interested.

the S2000 head will not bolt to the k series block. Its a completely different design. The S2k uses an idle gear to turn the cams via a chain that runs off the crank, where as the K series uses a chain to drive the cams.
