H22a p28 ecu
will last night i got a p28 and i install it and we took it around block and i went to 1 and went to like 7800 and i try to shift to 2nd i missed try to double clutch it and rev hard to 8800 so we got back to the house and i start to hear a little noise and it like when u rev it from 2500 - 3500 when u let off it make a veshhhhhhh noice so i drove it home it was fine no sign of loss power what u think it is. h22a with f22 tranny p28 ecu 92 prelude thanks guys
i've heard ppl killing their h22s because they miss a gear one too many times. and shifting past the redline on what i'd assume is a stock engine is not good. go get it looked at if your that worried.

Not entirely. It still slows down the shaft giving the syncro a bit of a break.

first off the map on a stock p28 isnt for a h22a lol. man people need to use the search button before they mod and talk. You missing a gear isnt going to over rev the motor inless the ecu is atleast chipped. Ive never heard of anyone hurtting a h by missing a gear, maybe missing a gear and sticking it in a lower gear causing an over rev. Ive done that first hand, but have also missed many of shifts in my years of h-searies and no problems.
My bet is its on the over rev to 8800 rpms and the lack of a tune on the ecu
