wow you guys need to search, but to edify:
you can use the p13 ecu, but make sure it's american, cause i've only seen crappy jdm ones(w/ the 4ws that is...makes em not run right imo)...you can get a p28 chipped or a p72 chipped as well i believe...

yep, p13 is stock, and p28 or p72 are the best if you are going to chip them. Make sure it is obd1 though, regardless of which you use.

if you mean d16z6, then you already have a p28, get it chipped, and use H22 maps only, don't run it on B series maps.

whats the advantage of running a p28 as opposed to the stock p13?

tuning, only important if you plan to mod the engine beyond the basic bolt-ons.

so if i get it chiped it will work like a h22 ecu?

if you get it chipped the ecu will run like whatever chip is in it. the chip reprograms the ecu's fuel and ignition maps. I'm using a chipped p28 for my H22.

make sure its a vtec ecu though. vtec is built into the board, not the chip. that's why p28's (sohc vtec) and p72's (GSR) are so popular. If you chip a non-vtec ecu, the fuel and ignition maps will be right, but vtec will not engage.
