wont idle when its cold

hey my 93 Teg wont idle when the motors cold but when it warms up it idles fine. i was told it was the FITV so i took it off and cleaned and it helped a lil bit but still wont idle right...any ideas?

sup joey...well i have tried the idle screw and it didnt help much...i am goin to put another FITV that i know works on it tomorrow and i hope that works...

uh prolly if i can get a hold of everyone...all i have is like $20.

you shouldnt really need to mess with the idle screw unless you have some reason to idle higher than normal. Check the FITV again. inst there some sort of screw that could come loose inside or was that the IACV. I forget.

You might want to check the coolant temp sensor as well. I am pretty sure it is supposed to enrich the mixture when it gets a cold signal from that.
it can not be vaccum leak, if there is a vaccum leak how come it work when the car is warm-up. engine coolant temperature sensor (ect) is one of the temputer sensors, and the one that go bad often.

the hose that goes to the EGR valve was leaking due to a rip in the hose. i fixed it and it idles on its own now. its bounces from about 850rpm to 1100rpm but it idles none the less...
