Recommended spark lpugs for 98 4cyl accord
I thought that a search here would turn up some recommendations for plugs - not!
So, any suggestions: for better mileage? for better power?
the car has 115K miles. the wires appear in good shape. Could there be unseen wear, and so they should be replaced anyway. Stock Honda wires the best?

stock plugs are just fine, you aren't going to notice any difference in power just by switching plugs. anybody who tells you different has probably fallen victim to the placebo effect

wait... since when did Iridium plugs come stock in the Accords?
It should be regular NGK ZFR5F-11, or if you prefer Denso KJ16CR-L11.

Denso Iridium are great. They cost about 50 bucks, but since they also burn hotter than stock, so your gonna need some better wires. Go for some Bosch Platinum wire set. They also run about 50 bucks.

Iridium plugs are not OEM Honda. They use just regular NGK copper plugs. Just replace them with those.
There is no need to spend that much money on plugs and wires. The copper NGKs are probably going to run you about $1 a piece and are the best ones to use on a Honda. I've talked to plenty of Honda mechanics who will always say that you do not want to use Iridium or Platinum plugs in any Honda. Do what you want though.

I thought v-power was irdium opps.
i just looked it up
OEM part# 98079-5514G S/PLG (ZFR5F-11) 4 1999 ACCORD
V-Power Spark Plug
I wouldnt use the denso wires though oem wires and plugs are good enough, unless you running forced induction.

That's a great idea. Go buy those plugs and wire set...
And by the way, remember to tow that car of yours to my dealer and ask for me.. I'll make sure you get a good deal on OEM Honda spark plugs and wires... Maybe a valve adjustment too..
