if considered a constructive total loss (most companies it's 90% of market value) you will get market value - depreciation if any.
so if car is worth 10k and has at least 9k in damages, it will be a total loss, you will get 10k - any depreciation.

It all depends on the insurance company too.. Each one is going to handle your case differently..

i'm an insurance agent, it's hard to say what you're going to end up with, every company is different, i dont work in claims so im not sure how much they'd deduct for depreciation, it also depends on the company, but i hope what i stated will get you a feel for what to expect.
ask your company also, they can answer your questions on specific numbers better then us.
check kbb.com for market values on your car. this will give you an idea of what it is worth then you can argue if you come out with 10k and they say market value is 8k.

You gonna be able to make it to the Next meet with the car ???? And usually they take down the mileage down, the year, etc etc and compare it to other cars on the market.... then if the repairs are worth more then the ride, then u will have a total loss vehicle my friend......
SUX to hear that though!!!!

That SH*T hurts to see ur baby like that huh!!!!
i've been there...... but like fventura 03 said..... check KBB.com and check to see what ur car is worth with all the mileage and extras etc etc ...... then u will have to compare it with parts and labor...... then subtract parts and labor from the value of ur car to get a rough idea..... But try to push ur insurance company to hurry cuz they take FOOORRREEEVVVEEERRR to fix it or to resolve if there is no person that is taking responsibility for it!!! unless u have sum1 really good at what they do u should see quick results

Damn that looks pretty bad homie, just hope that nothing major happened to ur engine, cuz then it will be a total loss. Not to scare u but yeah...........Let me know what the outcome is..... hopefully the cost of repair aint that bad, cuz might seem like a lil to us, is a **** load at the repair shops........
it isnt totaled. i ripped my whole front end off and it cost 4k to fix, including a windshield. for some odd reason, my airbags didnt go off though. if your airbags went off, then maybe but still, it looks like 2k worth of dmg. sorry, you have to keep your civic.
ins companys look at what the car is worth wrecked at auction and how much it will take to fix it it usually meets totaled at 50 % of retail value hope this is helpful

If that was the case than many vehicles would be totalled from simple fender benders. Most companies total when damages reach 75-90% of what fair market value is for the vehicle. Our company totals at 80%, State Farm 80% Triple A at 75%. It varies from company to company.
As for the pics from the op, I cant totally tell from looking at the pics entirely and cant really see anything on the underside and such, but I dont think you'll be totalled out.
I just shifted from claims to underwriting a few weeks back so I have seen plenty of vehicles with much less damage than that be totalled, but having been in a similar situation last year with my car I can say your damage (unless the frame has damage) will probably be in the realm of $5-6k.

yeah Ive tryed looking under but i dont wanna pry the hood until the adjuster sees it
but the side fenders havent been pushed back so im hoping theres no a high extent of damage car starts and runs good and i work at a shop so i could do most of the internal work no body work tho
