Default Timing Belt Manual Tensinor conversion Look

Okay so I think Im done with the conversion and the belt. I have pictures of the following. I want you guys to take a look and tell me your opinon on the timing belt and balancer belt set up.

1. The Balancer Belt Tensinor is tight on there. Really tight, that I dont think I can move it with out using force, or losening the nut. Also the spring on the end of it is pretty loose. Could probally stay in same spot with or with out it.

2. I moved the wheel flywheel around and the belts all moved and stayed on.

3. The Timing belt is on there. Tight as hell, but its on there. I had to install the timing belt then install the manual tensinor after the belt was on, only way I was able to get the belt on there with out breaking a sweat.

4. Tranny issues, I have the tranny torque on. I did not have a clutch alignment tool, but the trannie is torqued on and the flywheel moves around still. It should be aligned right.

5. I know I have asked these question on mutiple times, but for my piece of mind I am re-asking them. I would hate to have just spent all this money to watch the timing eff up and destroy the head, or put the motor back in the car, and have the tranny not work.

6. Thanks

Timing for the T-belt is bang on . But.. you may want to look at your balancer shaft marks again they are way off

Do you have a helms?

Get one. It has the procedure for the balance belt in it. There's a maintenance hole in the back of the block you insert a bolt into to line up the rear shaft, and a mark on the front one. There are two marks on it so I really recommend you read the helms so you know which it is.

Yes. the gear on the left should be where you have the yellow mark pointing up should be horizontal not vertical. There is a dimple on the shaft behind the gear that should be pointing up. If u look on the oil pump there is a mark you can line up the dimple on the with the mark on the oil pump.

The other gear is just to hard to type out lol so .. there is a service hole on the back of the block remove it ( 12mm) push a shrew driver or punch threw it when its goes threw you know that's lined up also. there is a mark on the oil pump you can line the dimple up with on the gears also provided you didn't remove it and not line it back up where it is.

Not really. I just removed the belt. BUT, keep the BS pulley since that keeps your timing belt in place.

The BS eliminator kit removes the BS shafts altogether. I just left mines hanging in the wind, so to speak.
