SKUNK2 upper control arms
i recently had purchased the skunk 2 upper arms pro series plus. The cheap china quality bushings they used already cracked.
i thought polyureathane doesnt crack. guess not. Then again it is made in china.
JUST INFORMING YOU PEOPLE THE TRUTH.
Im going to find out if skunk 2 will waranty this.

ok i just talked to a tech guy from skunk 2 and they are going to send me new bushings.
My LCA skunk2 bushings cracked as well, and they are sending me another set.
Skunk2 has great customer service.
Then again i shouldnt be going through this in the first place.

Polyurethane bushings are junk. I think it's all just been hype over the years that it's better. For a DD street car, OEM rubber really is better and lasts longer than polyurethane.

How old are your bushings? There is a thread with pictures and video showing the massive freeplay in one guy's black ES lower control arm bushings after only a couple of years of use, even with regular lubrication. Others have reported similar problems, as well.
OEM rubber bushings last MUCH longer than 2 years, for sure. Polyurethane wears out much faster and doesn't allow the suspension to move properly.

as im sure you already know. everything has some type of rating for quality. Some alluminums are of higher grade then others, and some metals are of higher grade then others. Its the same for rubber. my energy bushings are awesome.
i recommend them for all. i had both oem and polyurethane bushings. polyurethane is good, but only from a company that knows how to make them. skunk 2 obviously has some learning to do.
we will see how the replacement bushings turns out.
