I bought the light for my F4 streetfighter. I don't want a streetfighter anymore, though, so it goes under the knife. Everybody asks me where the light came from and, to be honest, I have no idea. I bought it off eBay and the guy only knew that it came from the Yuropean market.

You won't find anybody else around with it - $200.

A few items are being sold... but mostly because nobody bought the bike, so it's getting a redesign to make me happier.

 

i have a friend with an f4i streetfighter who has that light

its a honda scooter headlight for the european and asian markets, that scooter isnt available in the us

how much did he get it for? or where?

i want something like that but for $200, i'd rather get headlights from acerbis for $80-$100.

I'd be interested to see which scooter it came off of - it's not in their 2008 lineup.

As for getting it cheaper, you're not going to but an OEM light and have it imported for cheaper or the same price. The Acerbis stuff is cheap because, you know, it's cheap.

you didn't even know that was an OEM headlight until that guy mentioned it.

nice headlights though. too expensive for a cheap stunt bike i'm putting together.

MY point was that you won't be able to get the light from the OEM for cheaper than it's for sale. You also won't be able to get it from... anywhere, as far as I can tell. Last I checked this was the only one available for sale. If you can find another one cheaper, great, let me know and I might adjust my price.

I don't really care WHERE it came from. If it's OEM, that's great, if it's not, I don't care. As far as "it came from a scooter" I looked and I couldn't find it. I would like to know who made it because I get, by far, more questions about the light than anything else.

I know the light's worth more than $200. When I bought it off eBay it went for a sight more than that. If I have to post it there to avoid the commentary, so be it.

my point is "you didn't even know that was an OEM headlight until that guy mentioned it." that's my point. you trying to up your sale after he said it was OEM. but now you retracted your statement saying you dont care if it's oem or not.

and the reason why people comment/ask you about your headlights instead of anything else is because your bike looks like ****. the only thing that looks nice on that thing is the headlight.

and i really doubt anyone on HT is gonna spend $200 on headlights. might as well put it on ebay if you think u can get $200 or more.

I wasn't upselling anything; my price didn't change because it might be from one of the OEMs. Like it or not, though, if the light wasn't made in the aftermarket then it's going to be more expensive to get elsewhere. Given that, and the lack of used ones for sale, you aren't going to be able to find one cheaper. Of course it's going to cost more than one of those Acerbis pieces of junk... it's not junk. You've actually got to pay for the increased value if you want it.

If I didn't upsell it, though, I didn't retract anything, either. My point, obviously, was to point out that it's not overly expensive, especially considering it's theoretical origin. Whether it is, or is not OEM is irrelevant to me - I'm selling the light on it's own merit. Heck, if nobody can actually identify the light's origin, then it's that much better for me... supply plays a pretty big factor in price when selling something like this.
