how much you think a front hub will cost?
hey i brought my '90 dx hatch in for an alignment today and it turns out the front right hub assembly is bent where it goes up to connect to the upper control arm. The camber is off a little but not too bad, it still drives straight and i dont notice any effects from it but none the less it needs repair. I think this happened cause the guy that owned the car before me had the thing slammed to the ground.
I am just curious what some of you have paid for them just so i know what to expect when i go to the junkyard on saturday.

Call honda. I bought 2 new front hubs for a 95ish 2.2cl from Acura for 35$ a pop, brand spanking new.
I wouldn't bother buying an old rusty one when new ones are cheap, get new bearings at the same time, might aswell do both sides while your at it (and it takes about 1 hour per side).

Crx hubs new are about $120 depending on where you go. Not for the civics, but thought others might like to know. I did get a used one shipped to me for $70...it was a toss up to do that or drive 3 hours to pullapart. i figured that was a gamble, so I saved time, money and miles. try uneedapart.com, yards send you emails with prices if they have what you need!!
i think you are meaning that you need a new knuckle assembly (with hub, bearing, and balljoints), and that is why you are getting responses that are a little weird. the hub is the round part that has wheel studs pressed into it, and presses into the wheel bearing. the knuckle is the large cast piece that holds the hub assembly and connects the lower control arm, the wheel, and the upper control arm. it's possible to bend it, but it aint easy or common. usually you need an accident, and usually the lower a arm or the subframe bend first and the knuckles are ok. what is your camber reading (along with the suspension you are running)? i'm not correcting you (hell maybe i misunderstood) to be a dick, i'm just trying to help you get the info you need and maybe keep you from fixing something that isnt broken.
dx (any year dx or si fit) knuckles shouldn't cost more than 35 bucks a side, but you'll want to replace bearings and maybe balljoints too.
note that if you were racing the car, this hub conversation would be a lot different as you'd be going throuh hubs every year. on a street car they'll last a lifetime.
