Default any tips for findind a vacuum leak???

i'm throwing a cell 14 for the iacv after installing my jrsc. it idles like **** and then eventually stalls. i did the trouble shooting from the helms for the wire connections and the iacv and they where fine. so does anybody have any tips for finding a vaccum leak. i heard you could use propane gas to find it?

I definately would not recommend using propane to find your leak! I use carb cleaner. I spray it around all mating surfaces (im gasket, tb gasket, etc) and listen you hear the idle go up, then you've found your leak. You'll probably also want to get out your multi meter and check the voltage at the iacv.

More flammables in the mixture, the vapors/fluid is sucked in through the leak and into the mixture, and the increased fuel causes idle to rise.

WD-40 would be a safer option.

WD-40's is mostly flammable because of it's propellant (propane). The liquid itself is pretty slow burning and may not give as noticable indication. That is why carb cleaner or starting fluid is a better choice. Just spray in moderation
