Default 2000 Si Intake Choice

Looking for some suggestions on which intake to get

no name brand with KN filter?

or PSW JDM whale peepee intake?

looks aside, would i notice a difference in performance??

I didn't vote, but it has more to do with the filter, which, if anything, will net you another 1 hp if that. Well there is always that material the intake is made of, but overall, it you really need the extra 2 hp, then your car shouldn't be racing anything.

I would say eBay intake. A Metal pipe is a metal pipe, right?

P.S. Sorry to jack the thread, but why do so many people lean towards K&N? What if the eBay intake comes with a filter already?

the major difference between the whale ***** and a tube w/ filter would be the mid range power and torque band. the whale ***** intake makes the best low-mid range power for DD, whereas a pipe and filter will give you the best overall performance gain at high RPM. but like everyone says 1-2hp isnt anything to get hard over so go with what you like+K&N filter.

went from oem w/ kn filter -> sri -> cai -> whale *****. and by far, the password jdm intake was the best for me. my .02

i like my whale ***** but u wont notice a difference on the butt dyno except for it being alot louder and in ur wallet but u will gain a cpl hp's
