You waited an hour?
Check the shop manual for it.

Literally you connect the same colored wires to the same colored wires, for the two existing grounds you have on your harness you have to splice them to the single ground on the new socket to form a "Y" and that's it.

That is correct. Wiring them - it's a snap. The USDM wiring has 4 wires per headlight. High Beam: Black wire for ground, and correct me if I'm wrong, red wire with yellow line for the high beam itself. The low beam also has a black ground wire, and a red wire with a green line for low beam. Here's what you do. Pick a ground wire, it doesn't matter.. I used the high beam ground wire.. Next, take the high beam wire, and the low beam. Connect them to your harness on your SiR Bulb.. Notice how the bulb has 3 wires connected to it Connect the ground to the ground, low beam to the low, and high to the high on the headlight. You should have that last ground wire from the USDM low beam.. Don't cut it.. just tape it up just in case. Your SiR headlights are now wired.
As for the fender side markers, When installing them you'll realize the JDM corners only need one bulb. Cut the socket that you don't need anymore (the one with 2 wires).

^^ thats not right, if you do that both filaments in the bulb will be on when the highs are on(ed lights low stay on when highs are on) the h4 bulb should only have low or high on not both at the same time. If this is done the bulb will a very decreased life. I figured it out once you need to wire in a relay, do a search I think I posted it in the audio/video forum.
Seriously? I never had any issues with my headlights...then again, I don't drive with the high beams on for more than a few seconds.

My car's been wired like that for months without a single problem and I still have the bulbs that came in my 15 year old headlights. I'd say I did it correctly. A relay couldn't hurt though.
