weighed in my CX, too heavy? give me your input.
track night after my last run I weighed in my 1992 CX HB and I wasnt too happy with the results.
'92 CX
-----------------
no passenger seat
no rear seats
no rear seat belts
no rear panels
no spare/jack
no ac
no ps
no rear speakers
1- Sparco Sprint racing seat
EX complete doors with speakers
Power windows and locks
B Series motorswap
GSR FRONT brakes
1/4 tank of gas
-------------------
Total: 2240 with me inside, I weigh 145lbs
I feel it is way to heavy for a CX with some stuff taken out, or isnt it. Give me your input I need to get this sucker down.

thats how much your car should weigh considering you have the GSR discs all around and the power stuff. i think the brakes are where the extra weight is coming in.
It's a race car thats way too heavy. If its for a street car thats alright. If you want to reduce the weight of your RACE car only I would suggest holesawing the frame. Drill some nice holes into stragteic parts of the frame. If it's a street car you can start by getting rid of the EX doors, power windows, locks.
my 94 cx weights just over 2100 lbs with no driver. full interior including back seat, stereo and door speakers, slicks, no a/c. NA b20 motor inside.

Do you have the simple things out like windsheild washer pump and tank?modify front and rear bumper supports? Scrape all insulation out. Get rid of power windows and locks.make sure your a.c. core is out under the dask replace with non a.c. box.get light weight hood. All those things should get your cx down too around 2150 with you in it as long as you are not a fatty, that is with all the rear interior pieces except rear seat also, cause car looks better with rear panels in, Jason
