Faulty Transmission Install
Okay I put in for my other thread to be deleted.
Heres the delemma. Now I have mounted and bolted the transmission to the new motor. Although I did not use a clutch alignment tool. So now can the tranny be disconnected and reailgned with the clutch alignment tool?
Also the circled bolt got stripped off and broke. Will the trannie work fine with one broken bolt?

if you're asking if you can remove your tranny AFTER you've already incorrectly installed it, to install it the proper way, yes you should be able to drop your trans and align your clutch properly.
i'm not sure about the bolt question, but if it were me i'd fix it.

If the disc wasnt aligned well enough, you wouldnt have been able to get the tranny on, it may have made some noise slipping into the right spot as you moved the tranny, but pump the clutch a few times and it will be good to go. If you heard a cracking break sound, I would check all around the bellhousing, make sure you didnt crack it anywhere. And the stripped bolt, you could do it, but why not pull the bolt and get a new one in there? Since its at the bottom of the diff, it may leak fluid under load would be my concern.
About that. Diffrential, I took all the bolts out on that thing and couldnt even get it to crack open. It almost looks like its welded on there. Couldnt pry it open with a screw driver.
How would I go about pulling it out, It broke off on the threads

to open the transmission case (not sure why you were doing that to begin with...) you need to remove those bolts then take the cap (part 12) off of the nose and open the snap ring inside there. that snap ring holds the mainshaft into the housing.

Well in your opinion one broken bolt should be good for the time being?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by v4lu3s »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">to open the transmission case (not sure why you were doing that to begin with...) you need to remove those bolts then take the cap (part 12) off of the nose and open the snap ring inside there. that snap ring holds the mainshaft into the housing. </TD></TR></TABLE>
I dont know, it may or may not leak, the case halves are supposed to be sealed with hondabond as well, so taking the bolts out and attempting to pry the case halves open could be a problem for sealing.
