Help with clutch install!
I have my clutch installed and I can easily move the lever on the tranny by hand. I put a new throw out bearing in, maybe I did not install it right? Does anyone know why it is so easy to move the lever? This is a cable tranny J1. Thanks
what the hell are you talking about?
the shift fork moving the release bearing?
its supposed to move easy
and you arent gonna be able to push it into the clutch and actually cause the clutch to engage because it requires hundreds of pounds of force to engage the clutch.

if you mean the lever on the outside of the tranny case how far does it move? a little play at the bottom is fine. It will stop abruptly an inch or so up from the bottom. If it goes all the way up by hand then you messed up. Pull it and check your work.
