Hey.
I have been over boring TBs for friends for quite some time and I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in getting theirs overbored.
Here are the stats:
I am right now doing B series TBs (JDM B16's and 90-93 B18's)
TBs are over bored to 62mm. (stock bore is 58mm)
TBs are microblasted to look like new. NO PAINT used!!
New bigger size butterfly.
radious and polish TB intake. (just like Spoon)
You need to ship the TB complete with sensors. I will reinstall all sensors to fact. specs. That way you don't have to mess with the TPS.
I am charging $125 including return UPS three day select shipping.
I can do next day, you pay the difference.
Here are a few pictures.
This picture gives you an idea of how much bigger the butterfly is.
This is how I finish them. TPS in place and ready to bolt up.
Microblast finish. inside and out. Just like new.
It is strongly recomended that you get a new TB gasket before reinstalling it
Thanks
George

Hell yeah, that's a lot cheaper than getting an aftermarket, I imagine that if you've been doing it for a while, you know what your doing...I'll keep ya in mind.
great price!
and pics look good.
few questions...
1) what material do use for the butterfly? (looks like brassy
, some companies use steel
)
2) do you use a taper design?
3) what size is the filter side of the tb?
4) can you do my 94 LS tb (60mm) to 64mm?
5) ever thought of using taper-head screws for a flush mount?
thanks,
charles

I use brass. I was using aluminum, but brass is the best chioce since it won't bind on the aluminum.
2) do you use a taper design?
Yes, the intake is tapered at 7 degrees.
3) what size is the filter side of the tb?
The same as it was. I do not add material.
4) can you do my 94 LS tb (60mm) to 64mm?
Yes.
5) ever thought of using taper-head screws for a flush mount?
No. I like to stick with the factory screws.
I don't want the crews to come off down the road.
I punch set them again to fact. specs.

is there any gain in overboring the tb without portmatching the intake manifold?
I have done it many times.
I stuff the biggets towel you can in the manifold and use a sanding drum on a drill.
A few passes and it's done.
Remove the towel and use a vacuum to pick up any left over.
I've never had a problem doing that.
I can't remember if you need to do it on a JDM B16.
Most I have done the opening on the manifold is as big if not bigger than the new TB.
About D series TBs.
Yes I can do those as well, same price.
I was also asked about what size the opening of the TB is.
The TB is bored all the way through with the same diameter.
Then at the opening, I radious it starting at 7 degree slope in.
then it's sanded and polished for a smooth transition.
