Default D15 will not start

About 6-7 months ago I let a friend borrow my hatch to use. It ended up pissing coolant everywhere which I believe is coming from the water pump (I'll know for sure when I pull the timing belt cover). I went over that night and it started up but was leaking coolant bad.

When I went over to start it about a week later it would just crank, but it sounds weird, sort of like the starter is turning but there is no compression. My initial thought was it probably slipped a few teeth on the timing belt.

I towed it and basically just had it sit until about a week ago when I decided to start diagnosing the problem. I bought a new battery, and tried turning it over for about a minute or so with no luck.

Basically, so far I have checked the timing. Cam and crank are still lined up so it doesn't look like that is the culprit. I do remember my car making a similar noise when cranking over after my mpfi swap (the car sat for a week then) and during my exhaust install. (another week due to ordering the parts)

The fuel pump primes, and fuses look good.

One idea I have been playing with is my distributor. It has always been a little noisy but I am not really sure if that is the problem.

Any ideas on where to look would be great. Thanks
