Default Noisy Transmission after clutch install?

Hey fellas we just swapped in a new clutch/pressure plate/bearing/pilot bearing on to my buddys d16a6 engine

Now the car makes this anoying wuring/rattling noise when the clutch is out. Soon as you press the clutch in it stops.

Any input would be great.

Thanks

If the noise goes away with the clutch in it is probably the pilot bearing in the
tranny. Tranny needs rebiuld.

pilot bearing isn't in the transmission. It's in the flywheel.

We installed a new pilot bearing and new TO bearing.

When you say greased the TO bearing what part are you referring to?

We lubed the shaft that the TO rides on.

Not the throwout bearing for sure, but the pilot bearing.

Bad input shaft bearing. Happens to all the honda manual transmissions.

When a throwout bearing has failed it makes noise when the clutch is depressed, NOT let out.
