What could cause this camber reading? (stock) and other questions...
Hi all, thank you for taking the time to look at my post and answer these questions on my recent alignment. I will start by giving you all pertinant info on the car:
1998 Civic 3dr CX, new STS(store) brand tires (185 65 R14) on HX wheels. and stock (possibly original) suspension.
Recent work: Right front axel and lower ball joint replaced (myself).
History: approx 3-4 years ago I was hit from behind @ very low speed there was very little damage done to my car other then a cracked bumper cover and a few slight bends in the spare tire basin. Other then that nothing of note other then some curb kissing on my old wheels.
The Report:
As you can see I was riding around with some really nasty alignment issues of which I am very happy to be rid of, the car feels much much better. But after looking at the report I was wondering:
1) What could be causing my rear right side camber to be soo out of spec on stock suspension? Should I be looking for damage? Where?
2) The guy doing my alignment showed me that the adjusting bolt on the rear left compensator arm is seized up which explains why the rear left side toe is still bad. Should I get that taken care of as soon as possible? Since it was something that STS wouldn't touch I should bring it to a Honda service center and not attempt myself correct?
>>Edit<< Figured out myself that there isn't an adjustment for caster >>
3) Whats up with my caster and why didn't they touch it on the right side? (I know nothing about this) Since its hard to read:
Left: Initial: 0.7 Spec: 0.7 - 2.7 Final: 0.7
Right: Initial: 0.2 Spec: 0.7 - 2.7 Final: 0.2
<<
Thanks again for taking the time to read my post.

I woke up and first thing i did after seeing your reaction was take pictures...

and by curb kissing please dont think I'm a bad driver that can't keep the car on the road. Just a few bumps while parking on these horible streets.
Edit: More history: The previous owner used this car for work, installing battery backup systems. Batteries are indeed heavy and that could have strained the susp. but I'm telling you this to explain the cracked plastic. Battery vs. ABS plastic... you know the winner. Perhaps they could have caused some of the minor metal bends as well?
I never considered that those bends in the spare tire basin could be a serious thing, I have been told that I shouldn't worry about it either... Should I worry about it? You have me worried...

So is there something that can be done about it? How much would something like this cost to have done professionally? Is it worth it?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions and thank you Tyson for responding, I never considered those dents anything signifigant, now I know.

Frame damage? Likely.
Worth repairing? Probably not.
If the car drives straight, doesn't chew up tires, and gets you where you're going (you just use it for commuting, correct?), then just let it go.

shim that RR upper control arm to make it less negative.
and fix that LR toe arm. thats unacceptable and will chew up your tires.
everything else is fine. alignment wise.

yea like tyson said shim the RR control arm or get some kind of camber kit...it should fix the problem. its not worth fixing the frame problem most likely since it may cost a lot. the LR toe has to be corrected...
everything else is good. caster isn't too bad. i would say anything more then 1.0 difference from each other would cause a pull but yours is not so it should be good.
