1992 Civic Lx wont turn over :(
i drove home through a storm one night and sucked up water through my CAI. It died once this happened so I pulled over and kept trying to start it, it did start but only ran at a very very low rpm with my foot pushing the gas pedal. well I let it die again then I tried starting it and it just kept winding and didn't start then "clunk" it just stopped and wouldn't do anything, I bought a new starter still nothing! i don't know what I did if you have any ideas please help!
If you know for certain that you sucked water through your CAI and it caused your car to stall, your engine is likely toast due to hydrolock. Time for a swap and a short-ram intake.
yeah im eventually going to do a swap but for now i just need it running haha, if it was hydrolocked it wouldn't have started up while i was sitting there....
ah this is frustrating, is there some how I could have fried some wires from them getting to hot from trying to start it? last time i checked all the important fuses were still good
So you replaced the plugs changed the oil and drained all of the water. does the motor now crank of what is happening. If nothing is working check all of your grond wires and check your battery voltage due to all of the work your battery has been doing.

The motor does not crank, I turn the key and get a click. I took off one of the ground wires because it would fry and smoke every time i turned the key...

Click = not enough battery to turn the starter. Just because the engine ran like **** after it shut off doesn't mean you didn't hydrolock it, by the way. Do a compression test before you buy any more ****.
