3rd gear grind?
I had that crap since I got my car at 28k. Drove it to 40k and still persists every now and then.
And then.. I changed the transmission fluid, Royal Purple, and I have not had a grind yet.. its been like.. 5 months now.
Royal Purple owns me

Honda Manual Transmissions + Honda Manual Transmission Fluid= Long Lasting Transmission
If you put anything else in your transmission your asking for trouble.
It would be funny though, when your tranny takes a ****, and some service guy from honda drains purple **** from your tranny.

Hondas have been running GM Syncromesh Friction modified for years with no problems. Hondas tranny fluid even the new stuff sucks. It would be hard for Honda to prove the difference between these 2 fluids after time because they will all change color. Dunno about Royal Purple. Never been a fan of that snake oil.

I won't argue with that, but I know honda would give somebody lots of ****, if it came to warranty work, when they drain purple **** from a tranny.
