i've only had my gsr about 2 weeks, its a 95 with 128,000 miles. In the first week i started to drive it, i would rev it high every now and then but not very often and one day, i shifted from second to third and it grind.

is it normal for a grind to happen suddenly like that, or did the previous owner screw me over?

yea but the posts have 2 different questions, and yes i dont know much about my car cause i've only had it for like 2 weeks!

 

its a honda dude...its the 3rd gear synchro...let be that your first honda fact...

Err... yeah anyways... it's a very common problem. Most people can get over it with some Honda MTF or GM Syncromesh Fluid... I hope the Honda MTF fixes mine... it's a pain.

 

The 2nd gear syncro's were the first to go out on my 99 civic si and my 95 gsr, so maybe it is more on shifting habits...
