Default anbody try sticking exhuast pipe?

i read about this on the hobart forumns........someone said they did it many times with 6013 3/32" dcen low heat (said it worked becuase it was a sheet metal rod)

someone else said that the 6010 on the same setting electorode negative in the 3/32" form works well too

i had alwasy belived that 6010 was made for EP and did not produce a good weld in the EN setting

im a newb to welding anything tho

Ive stick welded exhaust before. Doesnt come out too bad if you use the right heat and take your time. Ive used both 6010 and 7018in both 3/32 and 1/8. I also run it downhill.

I've stick welded exhausts years ago using 6013 1/16 electrode. Turned out really nice actually, all things considered.

Yes, I've seen some very good exhaust welds with 6013. But with your exsperiance, I would recommend 7018. It's easier to lay down a good bead.

Sure why not? It's not that much fun but it works.

I used a 308l stainless rod on my stainless dp, worked really nice, and will never rust, lays as nice of bead as 7018...
