Default Would the 5th gen SH system work in a 4th?

I don't race my car, but I'm looking into replacing my h23a1 soon and auto tranny. I searched but didn't really find anything about the ATTS system working in a 4th gen. I've read alot of people drop the SH system and I always see them for sale. I think the ATTS would be nice to have with my 4WS. lmk. Thanks in advance.

Packaging, axles, your car isn't equipped with the necessary/correct sensors. You're much better off getting a limited slip diff.

So it can't be done at all? Even if I got all the sensors?

For one thing ATTS needs the 5g steering angle sensor, which is not the same as the two used for your 4WS. And physically, the 5g steering angle sensor will only fit in the 5g steering column, which won't fit in your car. Even if you some how got this part of it to work, you'd lose 4WS.

Apart from that, you'd need to use the 5g SH main ecu. Which mean you'd have to convert the entire car to obd2 including all the emissions components, including the ones not directly connected to the engine. You'll also need the 5g SH ABS control unit, which probably won't work with your 4g ABS modulator.

Next you'd need the lateral g and yaw rate sensors, which your car is neither wired for nor has the physical accommodations. There's also all the other wiring for all the grounds and fuses related to the system.

Throw in custom axles. I'm sure there's more. Is it worth all that? That's up to you and your wallet.

Thank you. That was the type of answer I was looking for. Looks like I'm just going with the JDM h deuce deuce.

Where are you getting your swap from? If you're going threw hmotorsonline, you can pay extra $300 and get the lsd option. The quaife lsd is better, but it's $900+. An lsd will perform just as well or better than ATTS. Good luck.

I'm not really sure yet. I'm saving money now for it so I can do it before the summer.
