Do aftermarket cam shafts delete vtec?
i know this might sound dumb but i was thinking about getting a skunk2 stage 1 camshaft for my gsr head and i wanted to know if this would delete the vtec engagement. i was going to go with the stage 2 but its for a daily driver and i read that it would mess with the idle.. correct me if im wrong

sig worthy...by the way, you have camshafts

VTEC will still function, you will just need to tune the ECU for the new shafts. There are VTEC eliminator camshafts, but they are not made by Skunk 2.
Big cams are a problem on cars that dont have 2 sets to choose from....stage I or IIs will idle like stock....atleast from what Ive seen.
