I have a 95 gsr stock internals and I plain on turbo it soon. I do not know to much on turbo sizes. A friend of mine is selling a turbo its garrett turbonetics he says it a 60 trim and .48 A/R. He wants to sell it for $300 would that be a good turbo for a gsr?

Yes, but you're going to need a lot more parts.

Also a lot of people would suggest doing a leak down and compression test first.

I was gonna do a compression test soon but the car only has 788,xxx miles on it. Is there any good exhaust manifold out there the lets you keep the a/c? I was looking into revhard

You meant 78,xxx I hope.

Try searching for turbo, trim or A/R in archived material. There must be some info to be gained by doing such.

yea Garrett has some great turbo info on their site so go check it out. Just because it has low miles doesnt mean its in great shape. Do a compression/leakdown test to make sure.

InlinePro makes a very nice turbo manifold that retains a/c. The cast iron log manifold is going for $425 in the sponsors section right now.

60 trim and a .48 A/R thats not bad since Im guessing its a T3/T04. A lot of people will recommend the .63 A/R though.

It really depends on your goals. For a stock internal build, a .48ar will be fine. It is going to spool up a little faster, but die off a bit in the top end (relative to the .63).

For that turbo, i would recommend something like the SLS shorty ramhorn because it is a mix of streetable, fast spooling capabilities AND it still flows well enough to save your upper rpms.
