Default cylinder head swap

Wud up ppl. hey im new here so im still learning about these forums. I got an 01 civic w/ a d17a1 and recently got a head off of a a2. im gonna have it machined and all but at the same time i wanted to but better cams, springs, valves, etc... where can i find all this stuff. im building this car for street and track. so i need something that will fall in between these 2 categories. plus once i get the head in, how do i make the vtec function properly, since it won't be hooked up to the ECM. all answers will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Unless you're doing boost or an aggressive nitrous setup, don't even bother.

Dont bother spending $1500 for 10 whp..with that your already half way to a Turbo upgrade... just pnp your stock head and get bigger pistons and rods then turbo... you woould be able to get like 250whp @ 10psi( i think.. correct me if im wrong guys)

you wont be spending 1500 for a head swap... you could get it for alot less if you shop around. probablly 600-1000 MAX for parts in a junk yard. then just DIY it.

3k for a turbo build is possible. 250whp @ 10PSI is doable too but NOT at 3k. Hell, kpro alone is about 1300.
