Type R head or worked head on turbo setup
I just need some input on what you guys think i should do? I have a 97 jdm itr motor and I changed the rods and pistons but i wanna know if i should leave the head stock or work the head? Im trying to make something like 600+horses if possible, just let me know what you think

600+ horses... wow, and your not sure whether or not to build the head?
You'll probably need valvetrain, a good turbo-spec cams, and some pretty high rev's to achieve that, and I hope your sleeved. A few people as seen high 400 WHP with stock sleeves, but I would not try to venture anywhere near 600whp without BUILDING EVERYTHING, including the head.

I have bone stk itr head w/ 01 itr cams, everything else in head stk, reving to 8500rpm. I made for 476 at only 18psi (unsleeved) im sure there is no doubt you can make 600+ on stk head w/ a great tune.....sleeved or unsleeved doesnt matter

yeah im gonnna run it on 28psi or so, the tuner here is awsome and we did a lot of other cars with stock gsr heads and it made 550 horses on 28psi so im hoping for the same with my type r, thanks for the input
