Default b16a-b16b?

i was just wondering what is the difference between the b16a and the b16b type r? is there a way of making a b16a to a b16b? would up grading the valvtrain with type r parts would make it like a type r head?

Yes there you can replace all the parts with b16b parts and to make the head like a CTR head you will need to replace cams, valvetrain, valves, intake and exhaust manifolds and get them port matched. The main difference in the block is pistons and balancing.

I think you would be better off with ITR/CTR pistons in a GSR block with ITR/CTR cams valve train etc...
