Default H22 went dead! electrical?

ok i was doing 70 down the highway going home. my car just dies on me. everything went dead, no headlights nothing. what could it be? only thing that works on my car as of now is my hazards

things checked:

battery
battery fuse
fuse block/fuse
checked the power cable to see if it was grounding out

Alternator, or a connection from/to it.

Hook up a new battery to it that you know has juice. If it turns, it's your alternator.

try changin the main relay for a known good one...

use a testlight and check for shorts...electrical problems are quite simple..i fixed Alot of wiring on my civic when i did my h22 swap..its a wiring mess but everything works.. some weird stuff happens with a h22 in a civic..just find the problem and fix it..cant be too much trouble.

+1

Knock out simple things that you can just plug in and test first. ECU, relays, battery, grounds. Stuff like that. THEN go wire hunting.

this may sound stupid, but your ground for your battery. had same thing happen to me, take the battery clamp off clean it real good or cut and resplice.

i got a h22 ek too

any fuses popped? go through'em wtih a check light.

gauge lights come on when the key is in the on position?

one problem that gave me a couple of bad hours was a crazy alternator. it would pop the battery fuse. disconnect the alternator and try n crank it. thats the alternator

i get nothing when i turn the key. no power at all. no beeping no lights no ignition. from what i can tell all my fuses are good and im getting power to everything under the hood. ppl tell me iit could be my ignition, but that doesnt explain why i can even get power to turn my headlights on

i would still check the ignition switch. just get a cheap multimeter and stark checking things. get a repair manual with wiring diagrams in it and check all switches relays also check resistances of all major battery cables. from the battery to the fuse block. if you have power at the ignition switch then you should be able to start it will be a big white wire under the steering cover. ill look at the wiring diagram tonight and tomorrow and see what i might find for ya
