alright so i have a b16 and i'm not satisfied with the hp so i want to do a swap first and then boost it. i want to do a swap but i want to keep my b16 tranny. i was thinking of a gsr longblock but what type of parts would i need for the engine if i did that?? if i did do a gsr swap with the b16 head do you think it would cost more than a complete swap to something else anyways?? cause if it costs more i probably will want a different plan ^_^ how much do you think i could sell my block for if its got 114xxx on it right now mechanically its fine?? and yes i know i'll get more from boosting my engine but everyone where i live just boosts so i want to do something different and have my car stand out. any suggestions would be great

No question is too stupid for Honda-Tech, trust.
You've got a good base with the B16, and I'd say that the best bet for power, as someone who's not super savvy, would be forced induction. Both paths would require their homework, but if you've got an engine that's already got some good potential, why try for another base until you've tried some good bang-for-your-buck power? If you sell your B16 and get a B18C1, you've used up some good money and time, and you've only got an engine that's a little torquier than the B16. If you prep it and slap a turbo on, with a good tune, you'll have good daily driven power.
The B16 is a good turbo daily driver, as the lower rpms are nice and tame for city driving, and when you hit the higher rpms, you'll get into the nice powerband that you'll want.
