hehe Im trying to ask a very simple question because if I get into it then things get off topic. Have you ever measured engine bay temps in customers' cars?
Basically I fried 2 coils over the weekend from too much heat. I have a temp sensor mounted next to my distributor and engine bay temps were 275*F during highway cruising. Obviously that is too much. I am going to ceramic coat my manifold and a few other tricks to keep the heat down. But I wanted to know what my goal should be. If say 250*F was the known safe limit for coils that would be my goal. Otherwise Im left to trial and error (frying coils).

I don't think anybody can say what the "safe" temp is, but i've never seen a honda coil failure due to underhood temps. What computer are you running?
