Okay so there was this civic that had a breather where the intake hose go's from intake pipeing to the engine. is this good/normal and can short ram intake mess up your car up so much that it doesnt start and stalls or is it just my map sensor becaue I tried putting a speed chip in and really pushed on the sensor. sorry for such a long post. thnks

sorry not trying to be a dick, but what did you say, if i get it write from my long established college courses in linguistics you are asking us if a short ram intake could make your car stall and the answer is no, but you also said that you pushed your map sensor in while putting a speed chip in which is the the same as a flux capacitor, but yes if you messed up your map sensor then you idel would be off and your car would not be able to stay on so check out your sensor

That's what I was asking thanks bt also is it good to put the breather there? or is the breather supposed to go somewhere else?

i am not sure what breather you are talking about a breather on the engine i have no clue sorry

If your talking about the little filters that people put at the end of your valve cover, then no, all that does is collect oil instead of making a mess under the bay.

Not enough to matter. You could tape the hole if it bothers you.

no lol it's only because I thought that could have been why it wasn't running well because the sensor didnt get enough air or something

none of these factors will affect your engine idle it has to be your map sensor so check it out. The breather will do nothing and the short ram would not make your car not stay on,
