The answer to "Can I put a coupe rear sway bar on my EK Sedan"
OK, I had done a lot of searching on this and every post I came up with ended up talking about 2 door cars. I wanted to put this post for the people, like me, that have a 4 door and are wanting to put a rear sway bar on their car.
I have a 1998 Civic DX 4 door. Tonight, I put a 99-00 Si rear sway on the car just to see if it would fit. It IS a direct bolt on for a 4 door. I know that you go to auctions and they have different parts for 2 and 4 door but I can't find what is different. I have an EX coupe front sway on this car and the Si rear sway.

ALL 96-00 Civics have the rear lower control arm (LCA) with holes in them that can accept swaybar endlinks, unlike 92-95 Civics.
The part numbers may not be identical, but all 96-00 Civics have rear LCAs with holes in em for endlinks, so the 99-00 Si rear sway bar bolts onto all EKs, be it coupe, sedan, or hatch.
The front sway bars are differnet. LX and EX models have 22mm sway bars (bolt onto DX models but you also need the half piece of the front LCA as the stock one on the DX does not have holes for endlinks.)
The Si and CTR of the 96-00 Chassis have a 26mm front sway bar. The Si and CTR also have lighter and different shaped LCAs, and wider shock forks to accomidate for the stiffer bushings in the LCAs. To put on a 99 Si front sway bar as a bolt on upgrade, you need not only the swaybar/endlinks/d-brackets but also the SI/CTR shock forks and LCAs.

Yes, that's right. I was speaking mostly of the rear sway bar since it seems there was no definitive answer on here that pertained to just 4 doors. If you look at kits for sale, they always say "fits coupe and hatchback only" or "fits 4 door only" Still not sure why they put this. Should simply be with or without factory sway bar and with or without Si.
