Default Spoon spec ECU opinions

Found a CPU in my area with the following specs:

VTEC @4400
NO KNOCK SENSOR
REDLINE 9300
UPGRADED TIMING
SPOON SPEC FUEL AND AIR MAPPING.

Its used on a GSR, so my question is, will it work for a B16A2 effectivly without having to re-tune it?

Right now I have a 97 coupe with a 2000 SIR swap with all the SIR components. Motor, tranny, ecu... Cold air intake and Integra stock (I think) exhaust. I just bought this car on friday and plan to progressivly build it.

Also, VTEC hits @ ~5500 rpm and rev limiter is ~7500.

Thanks for all/any input

Engaging vtec at 4400 rpms isn't going to make any power, it will cause a dip in your powerband.

Put your car on a dyno and you will see you have a nice dip at 4400 rpms to around 5000 rpms using that ecu. You will also notice the a/f ratios will be rich as can be.

Get your self an ecu with a base program specifically for your motor.

Thanks! I am trying my hardest to not "jump-the gun" with this car. Like I said, I just got it on friday and dont even have it plated yet.

This ECU is available @ a decent price and thought that if it would be useful to me, I would buy it now for use later.

First thing I think I will do is get a dyno pull to see where I'm @ and devise a "plan-of-attack" from there.

Thanks again!
