there are people out there that will spend the cash in order to say they have a
"sPoON ECu, yO!" there are people that buy the spoon ecu for their function and quality, especially over ecu chips. would i buy a chip? sure, i would rather only run one O2 sensor, and raise the rev limit to handle the revs my motor will be capable of. i would not look to a chip to play with ignition or fuel curves, would rather have an ITC and VAFC.

Re: Spoon ECU vs. Spoon Spec ECU (2ndhandCRX)
i have a spoon program ecu. 1 o2 sensor, 4500 vtec point, increased fuel etc. REAL spoon ecus are a waste of money, if you can find one that is. I would rather run a hondata for the same price.
My spoon programmed ecu is the exact same thing as a REAL one.

"my spoon chip is the same thing as the spoon ecu."
i don't buy that for a second. i am sure the spoon ecu offers adjustments in fuel, ignition, and vtec crossover, etc. i would rather have the hondata as well, just saying that it would be very hard to get an accurate tune from just an ecu chip, which would need to be optimized to your settings/parts.

exactly. Neither does a REAL spoon ecu
