Default I have a weird computer/welder problem.

At my shop when ever anyone is welding, my internet and mouse on the computer stop working. I have to plug the mouse in and out for it to work again, and the internet will connect on it's on.

I am thinking it has to be some kind of electrical issue?

is this when you are welding steel or aluminum? i used to have this problem in my old building when i would weld aluminum my wireless internet would stop working untill i stopped. no problems in the new building.

now when i weld alum my stereo will get louder and louder, i have to stop and then turn it back down(it will actually make the digital read out go up on the unit 60 feet away) my speakers are mounted on the walls all around the shop.

Ahahaa that's funny Danny... once in a blue moon, when welding alum, my cell phone turns off, or I shock the crap out of myself. Have fun trying to shield your computer

It sucks, because if there is welding going on I can't use the plasma table and it really hinders production.

I used to think the internet thing was because of the wireless connection, but I am using a cable now and it's the same thing.

Typically HF from a TIG welder usually wreaks the most havoc.

Isn't that caused by improper grounding in the building?

Weird I have my laptop sitting on my fab table as I am typing this, and both dynastys are welding away on the same table (4x8' fab table) HF is on, never had any HF issues. Although I've heard enough stories to make my brain fall out of my head.
