Can the Driveshaft of a Civic just "Fall Out"
Looking for some information as I think I'm going to have a fight with my Honda dealer on Monday.
The car was in to have the bearing and hub of the front driver's side wheel replaced.
I then got a message telling me that the driveshaft fell out during the check drive.
Questions:
1) Can a driveshaft just "fall out"?
2) If someone does something wrong when the bearing and hub are replaced can they compromise the driveshaft so it is no longer being held in place.
Any info would be most appreciated.
Thanks

When I replaced my daughter's car's passenger side CV axle boot, I did not realize the c-clip at the end of the outboard CV snapped into pieces when I put it all back together.
The outboard CV splined end popped out and the boot was the only thing holding it together. The car will not move. Ended up getting a new axle.
