I gotta smog in two months or my tags are gonna expire. The problem is is that i'm running a B16a2 without o2 sensors and cats. as of now i think i'm shooting out a decent amount of smoke and the old owner that i bought it from says it has stage 2 cam gears but that is unverified. as this point i realized i probably need two o2 sensors and two cats possibly. would i need anything else or anything else i should worry about. the b16 is eating a lot of oil or its leaking from somewhere... thanks for the help.

 

what car is ur b16 in ? u should probably go find a buddy that knows someone that gets things done.

 

buy a new motor....... if your eating/leaking that much oil you should find where its coming from b4 doing emissions... if the computer notices the least bit of oil/w.e in the exhaust its gonna fail you on the spot. second. take to a mechanic have him check out the motor...

Your prolly gonna need pistons/rings if your eatin that much oil... just a hint!.. i have to rebuild my motor cuz it was eating oil.

it sux but ya gotta do it. just go to a garage mechanic and see what he thinks.

 

i was thinking about doing an engine rebuild too. does anyone know a rough estimate to rebuild an engine? I just had friend do one a while back, he got his head ported and a whole valve job for around 360 and the bottom block done for 600 but i forgot what was wrong with the bottom block. i think it was a bent crank or something.
