Default RPM doesnt work after dizzy swap.

ok so my dizzy fried on me so i got a NEW one from some autopart store. installed it car runs fine. only 1 problem RPM is at 0. i have 00 civic dx with OBD2 GSR swap.. any suggestions?

well since the reading from the tach comes from the dizzy id check your plug connections.

Check the connection between the blue wire from the distributor to the tach. Make sure its a good connection.

all the connection is good. sometimes when i start the car the rpms work for about 5 seconds then it fall to 0

If it worked before check the blue wire, even if that means seeing where its going inside the dist. For all you know could be a bad ignitor on a new dist.

might check the wire at the icm. have seen with some aftermarket dist problems are pretty commom since they dont use high quality parts like the oe part's. here is a diag chart for the 00 civic i will post one for the gsr motor also.
