the last show we held, "Import face off 2" it had around 3500-4000 people attend, and tons of fast cars........ 10 sec hatchbacks and stuff

I live only 1 hour away and never have I attended a car show or race in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Man...i need to get out more and see the world...or at least the city next door.

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR LOUISIANA IMPORT DRAGS
RACE RULES (HEADS UP AND BRACKET)
*Any heads up racer who does not qualify for eliminations is still eligable to race in the bracket categories.
Body - Must resemble stock appearance and profile, but minor modifications can be made to the body. Import bodies allowed. Compact domestic car also allowed. Vehicles must be of door slammer variety (no rails or dragster style). Examples of bodies that are not permitted... Covertte, Camaro, Lincoln, Taurus, Mustang, Lumina, Monte Carlo, Grand National, Regal, Grand Am, Intrigue, Grand Prix, Grand Am, Catera, Intrepid, etc. Examples of bodies that are acceptable for competition... Cavelier, Focus, Contour, Cougar, Sunfire, Neon, and other similar bodies.
Interior - Can be a full race interior. Doors must open and close from both inside and outside the vehicle.
Chassis & Suspension - Full race suspension allowed. Wheelie bars are allowed, but cannot touch the ground at the starting line. Half tube and full tube chassis vehicles allowed.
Engine - Engine must be of import origin. All cars limited to one engine only. Engine swaps are allowed.
Fuel - Gasoline and other alternatives are allowed. Alcohol and Methanol is allowed.
Drivetrain & Transmission - Any transmission and rear end is allowed.
Exhaust - Any type of exhaust is permitted, even no muffler
Tires - There is no limit on tire size or type
Motorcycles - Must be of import origin. There is no restriction on power adder type or combination.
It is the competitor’s responsibility to insure both car and driver are in compliance with all Louisiana Import Drags rules and regulations as well as all NHRA safety requirements for the vehicle’s performance level.

Class Description: Heads-Up, Pro-tree (.400) class for naturally aspirated stock import chassis FWD vehicles. No power adders are allowed. Any transmission allowed.
*Heads up qualifying positions must be filled for full race payouts.
BRACKET RACING RULES AND REGULATIONS
ET BRACKET 1: Handicapped eliminator (dial-in) using a Sportsman-Tree (.500) for cars running 14.99 and faster.
ET BRACKET 2: Handicapped eliminator (dial-in) using a Sportsman-Tree (.500) for cars running 15.00 and slower.
MOTORCYCLE BRACKET: ET-Handicapped eliminator (dial-in) using a Sportsman-Tree
(.500) for motorcycles running 9.00 and slower
AUTO SHOW RULES AND REGULATIONS
Import bodies allowed. Compact domestic cars also allowed. Examples of bodies that are not permitted... Covertte, Camaro, Lincoln, Taurus, Mustang, Lumina, Monte Carlo, Grand National, Regal, Grand Am, Intrigue, Grand Prix, Grand Am, Catera, Intrepid, etc. Examples of bodies that are acceptable for competition... Cavelier, Focus, Contour, Cougar, Sunfire, Neon, and other similar bodies. Import trucks are allowed.
Mild Class: Vehicles are required to have Stock OEM body parts or reproduction parts that imitate the exact fit and look of the car for that year. Vehicles in these classes are also required to have the original frame, undercarriage, engine and factory produced drivetrain. This class will allow a total of SEVEN item changes or additions to the car. Any change from the stock OEM appearance, including even a set of spark plug wires will count as one item change. If there are more than seven item changes, your car will be classfied in the Wild class.
Wild Class: Vehicles in this class will have more than seven changes to the stock OEM look and fit of the car. Change to any of the stock parts, components or interior are allowed. Engineered modifications to the body, frame and drivetrain are as well included.
Of the top 15 Qualifying positions, 3 will be reserved for the mild class. There will be 12 wild class qualifying positions, and 3 mild class qualifying positions. Positions may increase depending on show participation!
If an auto show contestant is not in the designated auto show display area, they must have an auto show tech card on display either on their dash or under their windshield wiper. Tech cards are distributed at the front gate.
Cars are classed and reviewed by a panel of judges using a 100 point judging system. “Show and Go” qualifiers are announced before racing. If a qualifier decides not to race they win NOTHING. Qualifiers MUST race in show form. Qualifiers cannot change anything on their car from the car show pit to the staging lanes. No changing of wheels, no taking out interior, and the OWNER of the car must drive during the competition. Qualifiers are given one chance/run to pass the “Show and Go” challenge. Good luck!

Engine (modifications, cleanliness, paint/powdercoating/polishing) 15pts
Undercarriage (cleanliness, paint/powdercoating, suspension) 15pts
Wheels (cleanliness, appearance, size) 15pts
Interior (cleanliness, features, entertainment) 20pts
Overall appearance - 10pts
TOTAL – 100 pts
BONUS POINTS – Display (style, *MODELS*) up to 10 pts. The more models, the more points!
BURN OUT COMPETITION RULES
Import or sports compact vehicles allowed. Contestants do burn outs in the burn out pits, one car at a time. There is no time limit as to how long the burn out is. After the burnout, contestants pull up and park their vehicles in front of the stands. After all contestants have done their burn out, the track announcer will go to each car and ask for an applause from the crowd. The vehicle with the loudest applause is the winner. The winner receives $100 cash courtesy of Bazooka Mobile Audio. Contestants register at the front gate with a bracket racing tech card ($25). Listen to the track announcer for when to stage up.

yo Ltech...i think a couple of friends and i are going...the event is hosted by my cousin and hes the one who also hosted the even a couple of weeks ago that we went to as well (Import Face-off 2002). it was a great show...ive never seen so many people in an event before...in a way it was bigger than the events i see at Texas Motorplex in ennis. this is gonna the the third one hes held and im sure its gonna be fun because first off its not as expensive as the events here in TX...and its just crazy bringin the dallas scene over there to reppasent. i know for sure u will get a few runs in...i had fun at IFO2k2 cause i got 6 runs in. im sure it wont be hard to get at least 3 runs in. get back to me if you wanna get together. email me at curiousgpnoy@aol.com
