Default Wheels for track???

well i have a 05 ep/stock and i really want to start modding and head to Buttonwillow and enjoy my little car. thing is im stock between 16in rpf1's (13lbs) vs work emotions 17in (17lbs). wheel the rpf1 make a huge diffrence in lap times? what i like about 17 in wheels is tire choice.

thanks in advance

if you do 17's your will have to roll you fenders if you get the car lowered, i wud go with the 16's

Heh, exactly what I had to do.

I would get Kosei K1's/Rotas

if u get 17-7 with 43/42 offset u dont have to roll ur fenders, same with 17-7.5.

but if there 7-8 then it depends on offset and how lowered u are.

yeah rpf1's are hot,16's on ep look hot. just tire choices for 16 suck, i like 215/50 but ther rare and 225/50 are huge i was thinking maybe 225/45 will be almost like 215/50

They were great for track when I had them:

yeah but he drives an ep not an rsx. if you get 17s for track use, you will regret it

My 17s would work great for the track (I rolled my quarters) but tires are too expensive. I'd go 16.

16" enkeis or some buddy club sf's get my vote both are some of the lightest wheels out there

Agreed! Sprung weight will make a noticeable difference

one of the problems i think ill have with 16's on 225/50 tires is the feel of being loose, while 17's on 215/45 might have good response. i might have to try out both
