I'm looking to see what the best bet for a street turbo would be for a 3.2L, particularly a BMW M3's S52B32. I dont actually have the car...yet. But I'll be getting one before end of next year.
I've been doing the math, looking at examples, etc, and I think something like a 60-1 with a divided T4 turbine. What I'm hoping to end up with is good power with that compressor, quick spool with the divided flange, and a torque curve that doesn't fall off much due to the t4 hotside. I'm guessing I'd have some boost at 2500 or so, 15psi before 3500...sound close? I've never looked into T4 turbines before, so my knowledge there is limited.

And yes, in a perfect world I'd be getting a BB GT35R with a diveded housing, but I aint rich...

through a .6x or .8x t4 60-1 are pt61 and youll be fine youll spool mid 3k with the .8x single scroll earl 3k on the .6x single, ive done over 20 s50(2)b30(2) turbo set ups..
yeah your on the right track just do the calculations for the motors cfm needs, then just start plotting on different turbo efficiency maps see what turbo will stay in the most efficient range your planning to run in

here is a 6 cyl with an undivided T4 SC61. car was a blast to drive...made boost at nearly any given rpm and made power until you let off. i wouldn't hesitate to use the same turbo again.
Horsepower freaks makes a pretty nice kit for the e46 m3 my friend was looking into it. 700hp~, they run precision t67, apparently full boost 3600rpm cuz of the high compression (low boost 6psi)

nice!
Numers? Specs?

One other thing I wanted to ask about would be cylinder pairing.
Given a firing order of 1-5-3-6-2-4, would you want to match up 1-3 and 4-6? If so that would make the manifold almost a cakewalk...

Anyone? Do you want the pulses to alternate between each side?
