i have an eg hatch with an h22 swap, obd1, chipped pherable p28 ecu, but the car just throws constant code when i put the jumper in????? please help

It stays stays on with no reaction, when jumped? Jump it then start it. Does it come on right away when you start your car un-jumped? Or does it take 5sec?. Check all of theses. Then if none of theses gives it a reaction go disconnect a sensor on the motor (tps,iacv,etc.) It sounds like a o2 code.

 

it throws a code in 3rd gear at 6000 rpms, when i plug in the jumper to check codes it just throws a constant check engine light. it does not flash

You know what's funny? I just chipped and converted my P06 to VTEC for my D15B and it throws a constant CEL. But when I turn the key, it doesn't like up like it should. Only when I start it and rev it to any higher than 1.2K RPM. When I jumper it the CEL lights up solid red with no blips. My burned chip is working correctly because my car redlines at 8K RPM but stumbles at 7K RPM because VTEC isn't kicking it. But either way, it's still doing the same thing as yours. I sent an e-mail to Chris Harris from Xenocron so we'll see what he says and I'll post it here for you. Oh yeah, and my O2 sensor is shot so that's why it's throwing codes.

 

If the check engine light ISNT on and you put in the jumper...the CEL light on the dash will light up SOLID.

it will only blink if you are actually throwing a code...

my car throws a code at the top of 3rd gear?????
but then it goes away after a few seconds??
it also seems to loose power around that time

ECU IS PROB BAD... A SOLID CEL IS LIMP MODE

Possibly, this is a Check Engine Shift Light feature...and your car is loosing power because really...it doesnt want to rev that high.
